The leadership at Street Media Group has a long history of success in developing new outdoor advertising operations. Our initial launch in 1984 was with a bus stop bench program in Fort Collins, Colorado. Throughout the late 80’s and mid-90’s our growth came from an aggressive effort to build out a billboard plant in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming resulting in over 200 faces in our operation.
In 1995 we sold the billboard plant to fund our efforts to enter into contracts that would improve the bus stops for over 25 different municipalities in the Denver Metro area. Those improvements included the installation of approximately 700 bus shelters with advertising. Our leadership team then went on to open offices in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas after acquiring Lamar Outdoor’s bus shelter inventory. This inventory expansion resulted in marketing ad space on over 2000 bus shelters helping us serve over 40 different cities and counties in three states.
In early 2010 our leadership decided to resign from their former company; Outdoor Promotions, Inc., thus returning them to Colorado where they founded StreetMediaGroup, LLC. Since that time the team has won municipal contracts to market exterior space on bus fleets for Avon, Colorado Springs, Eagle and Summit Counties, Fort Collins, and Pueblo. We recently acquired bus shelter assets to expand our operations to the Denver metro market, and also won the contract to install new advertising shelters for the City of Golden. We currently maintain and market advertising space on more than 265 bus shelters, 700 benches and over 100 buses in Colorado.
Our newest inventory is going DIGITAL. StreetMediaGroup is excited to announce the placement of new digital wayfinders on the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver, and the Centerra Mall in Loveland. The new wayfinders on the 16th Street mall will have interactive screens on one side, and both malls will have full digital advertising screens on the other. In addition, we’ve recently installed two full size 14′ by 48′ digital bulletins on I-25 in the greater north Denver metro area.
We know our long track record of success is a result of our strong commitment to work with our municipal clients as partners. We also believe that our knowledge and expertise provides a clear understanding of their needs, and we are dedicated to providing our services with excellence.
